Mitch joined HMB in 1999 and has developed technical, field survey and NEPA expertise across a range of disciplines. He has participated in aquatic and terrestrial surveys for projects in Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee and Alabama. His field experience includes stream biota sampling, water chemistry analyses, stream assessments for 404/401 permits, mist netting, mussel surveys (including SCUBA), endangered species surveys, cave habitat surveys, and wetland delineations. In addition to his ecological experience, he has completed Levels I-IV of Dave Rosgen’s stream restoration and natural channel design training. He conducts field and office analyses and prepares baseline reports for air quality and highway traffic noise. Mitch has been the principal author for several NEPA documents, ranging from categorical exclusion to environmental impact settlements.
