Groggins Ferry Water System Improvements
HMB was contracted in 2006 for complete engineering services related to the upgrade of the water distribution system in the Groggins Ferry area. The project consisted of the upgrade of approximately 13,170 feet of 3-inch water main to 8-inch PVC, which improved service and provided fire protection to the District’s customers in the area.
Multiple Water System Expansion and Improvement Projects
HMB provided design for a mastermeter change-out project and water line extensions in the US 27/Catnip Hill Road Area. In a subsequent project, HMB provided design for a 1 million-gallon elevated water storage tank including foundation, site preparation, excavation, valve vault and all appurtenances; a Mainline PRV station; a 350 GPM Booster Pumping Station; Flow Control Valve and Vault, Radio Telemetry Control System and 4,000’ of 12" water line.
HMB has also provided engineering services to JCWD #1 for water projects including the Dragstrip Tank repaint, Sussex Estates and Baker Lane upgrades, Marshall and Canter extensions, Brannon Road upgrade, Ashgrove Loop, Vince Road/Marshall Branch upgrade and extension, and other miscellaneous projects. In addition, HMB also serves the district in an “on-call” capacity for services including review of developer’s plans and assistance with day-to-day issues.
HMB is currently in the design phase for improvements including a new 1,000,000 gallon elevated storage tank, 500 GPM pump station, approximately 2,000 feet of new 12” PVC water main and a SCADA system.
