Brent Spence Bridge Corridor Noise Study – Covington, KY

HMB conducted a noise analysis for the widening of I-71/I-75 and construction of a companion bridge over the Ohio River. Field investigations, drone recordings, and modeling were used to assess existing and proposed noise levels. A Traffic Noise Impact Analysis was prepared within four months. The need for over 14,400 feet of barrier walls meeting criteria were identified.  HMB further optimized barrier walls for noise reduction and provided results to KYTC in a technical memo. HMB also prepared noise exhibits for neighborhood meetings and continues to work with KYTC on determining noise wall locations for the project.
