Highway Safety

Delivering roadway projects that make streets, highways, and bridges safe and accessible for all users is a primary concern for communities and in engineering design. Our HMB team has extensive experience undertaking safety analysis and implementing a variety of engineering design methods to better serve users and reduce incidents of serious injury or death.

 Our approach is rooted in the Highway Safety Manual’s procedures and we use associated analysis tools. Our work regularly supports federally-funded safety initiatives with State Departments of Transportation as well as aiding in decision-making for concept improvements.
